Indian Heritage Public School

Indian Heritage Public School is found along the Gurdaspur Road in Dhariwal. We are located quite close to the Burj Sahib Gurudwara, which is a major landmark for anyone trying to find us. The school has a bit of an older feel to it, with wide hallways and heavy doors. Being on the main road means we hear the sounds of the traffic going between Gurdaspur and the neighboring towns all day long. In the winter, the Punjab mist can be quite thick, and the kids arrive wrapped in heavy sweaters and scarves. We have a good amount of outdoor space where the students can run around once the sun comes out. The trees along the fence line give us some privacy from the busy road. Indian Heritage Public School has been a part of the Dhariwal landscape for years. The teachers are often seen chatting with parents at the gate after the final bell rings. We have a small library that is usually full of students during their free periods. It isn't a high-tech facility, but it has all the books needed for the classes. The routine here is very steady. We follow the seasons, celebrating the local festivals and dealing with the summer heat as it comes. The 143521 area is our home, and we just provide a place where the local kids can come to learn their subjects and play with their friends. It is a practical, no-nonsense kind of place for the community.
