We are located in the Civil Line area of Gurdaspur, specifically tucked behind the main bus stand. Being so close to the bus stand means there is a constant hum of engines and people shouting, but once you step inside our gates, things settle down a bit. Our address is officially under P/O-Gurdaspur, and we’ve been part of this community for many years. The school itself is a collection of rooms and play areas where we spend our days. It’s a very practical place. We don’t have marble floors or anything like that, just solid desks and plenty of chalkboards. The teachers are always on the move, and you can usually find the principal somewhere in the middle of the chaos, sorting out schedules. Because we are in Gurdaspur, we see a lot of people coming in from the surrounding villages too. The walk from the bus stand is short, so it’s convenient for everyone. We have our routines, from the morning assembly to the final bell in the afternoon. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to open all the windows to catch a breeze, but we just carry on with the lessons. It’s a place where work gets done and kids grow up. We are just a group of people running a school in a busy part of town, doing our best with what we have. Every day brings something different, but the goal is always the same.
