St.Thomas Kerala English Medium School

St.Thomas Kerala English Medium School is at 3-8-3/1 in Duffpet. Ponnur is a smaller town in the Guntur district, and our street is pretty well-known to the locals. The school has been around for a while, and the building shows it in some places. The paint might be fading a bit under the Guntur sun, but the structure is solid. We have a small yard where the kids play during the intervals. It’s mostly dirt and some patches of grass. Inside, the classrooms are basic with wooden benches and old-fashioned blackboards. We don’t use much technology here; it’s mostly just books and talk. The staff room is small and always smells like the tea we make in the afternoons. We have a lot of families from Duffpet who have sent all their children to us over the years. It feels like we know everyone who passes through the gate. The morning assembly is usually a bit loud, but then it settles into a hum of voices for the rest of the day. We have to keep an eye on the gate because it doesn't always lock properly. It’s just one of those things we have to deal with. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. Most people just hear about us from their neighbors. We just focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the building stays clean. It’s a simple, honest way to spend the day.
