Danvaipeta Muncipal Corporation High School

This high school is located at 4 58 96 in the Ipd Colony area of Old Guntur. It is a municipal school, so it is run by the corporation and serves a lot of the families living in this part of the city. The building is quite large because we have a lot of students coming in every day from the surrounding streets. Old Guntur has its own character, and the school is very much a part of that landscape. It is a bit worn down in places, with some cracks in the plaster and old wooden doors that creak, but it has a lot of history to it. The classrooms are packed with benches and the blackboards are stained from years of chalk use. We have a big courtyard where the students play and where we hold our morning assembly. It can get very dusty when the wind blows through the colony, but nobody seems to mind much. The teachers here work hard to keep up with the curriculum, and the atmosphere is always busy and loud. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood—vendors calling out, bikes zooming past—all through the school day. It is a very practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We do not have a lot of money for fancy things, so we just make do with what we have. It is just a local high school where the kids from Ipd Colony come to study their books and hang out.
