Dav High School

We are over on JKC College Road in the Gujjannaguntla area of Guntur. The school sits at number 45, and it’s a familiar sight for anyone who lives around here. It’s a high school, so we deal with students who are starting to think about their futures quite seriously. The building is functional and a bit older, which gives it some character. We don't spend money on fancy lobby furniture or shiny signs. Most of our resources go into the classrooms and the basic supplies the kids need. The teachers here are a dedicated bunch who live nearby and understand the community well. On a typical day, you’ll hear the sound of lessons echoing down the halls and the occasional whistle from the PT teacher outside. We have a modest yard where the kids can run around, and it gets pretty busy during the breaks. We don’t use a lot of complicated language when talking to parents. We just tell them how their kids are doing and what needs to be improved. It’s a straightforward relationship. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the road outside a bit muddy, but we all just deal with it and get to class on time. We aren't trying to be the most modern school in the state; we just want to be a reliable place where kids in Guntur can get their high school education.
