Gopi Krishna High School

You will find Gopi Krishna High School right along Gandhi Road. It is a busy part of the area, and there is almost always something happening right outside our front door. Gandhi Road is one of those streets that never seems to stay quiet for very long. We are used to the sound of rickshaws and people talking as they walk past. The school itself is a plain building, nothing too special to look at, but it serves its purpose for the families living around here. Every morning, one of us has to come in early to unlock the heavy locks on the main gate. We check the hallways and make sure the chalk and boards are ready for the teachers. It can get a bit crowded when everyone arrives at the same time, but we manage to get everyone inside eventually. We don’t have a lot of extra space, so we have to be careful about how we use every corner of the building. On rainy days, the water tends to pool a bit near the entrance, and we have to put out bags or mats to keep the floors from getting too muddy. It’s just the normal, everyday stuff you deal with when you’re running a place in the middle of a busy town. We stay focused on the daily schedule and try to make sure the kids stay on track with their work. It is just honest work.
