Day Light Public High School

Day Light Public High School is located in Vijayalaxmipuram, which is a part of Bapatla. If you walk down the street, you can’t miss it because of the noise the kids make during their play hour. We have been operating at this spot for a good while. The address is 522101, right in the heart of the residential area. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes when the parents come to drop off the children. Our rooms are basic with whiteboards and rows of desks. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we spend the budget on books and repairs instead. As staff, we don't have much time for sitting around. There’s always a parent asking about a grade or a teacher needing a new set of registers. We don't put on any airs about being a high-tech institution. It’s just a neighborhood school where people send their kids because it’s close by and they know the staff. In the rainy season, the playground gets a bit muddy, and we have to keep the kids inside the corridors. We drink a lot of coffee in the office and talk about the local news. It is a very ordinary way to earn a living, looking after a couple hundred students every day. It feels like a small community inside these walls, far away from the corporate world.
