Sri Satya Sai Ideal School

Sri Satya Sai Ideal School is at 20-1-25/1 on Nukavari Street, which is in the Choutra area of Guntur. It’s a busy neighborhood with lots of narrow streets and houses packed close together. Our school building fits right into that landscape, being a multi-story structure that we’ve used for many years. Every morning, the street outside gets a bit hectic with rickshaws and parents dropping off their kids before heading to work. Once the bell rings, though, the noise moves inside to the classrooms. The stairs are a bit narrow and the rooms aren't very large, but we make use of every bit of space we have. We keep things very traditional here with old-fashioned desks and big blackboards. The office is right near the entrance where anyone can stop by if they have a question or need to pay fees. We don't really have a big playground, so the kids mostly spend their breaks in the hallways or the small courtyard area we have. Guntur can get incredibly hot in the summer, so we keep the windows wide open to catch whatever breeze comes through the alleyways. The staff room is always a bit crowded with books and papers, and there’s usually a pot of tea sitting on the corner table. It’s a very local operation and we know the history of almost every family that sends their children here to learn and grow up. Some former students even come back to visit us when they are older.
