Reddy Restaurant

Reddy Restaurant is in Devara Ganagapur, which is a small town in the Afzalpur area of Gulbarga. We are situated very close to the Dattathreya Temple, so a lot of our customers are pilgrims who have come for darshan. Because of the temple, we stay quite busy throughout the year. The town is small and everyone knows each other. Our restaurant is just a simple place where you can sit and have a traditional meal. We don't use any fancy equipment; it’s all very old-school in the kitchen. We serve food that is local to this region. It’s the kind of food we grew up eating. The tables are basic and we don't really have a lot of space, but we try to accommodate everyone who walks in. Sometimes when there's a festival at the temple, it gets incredibly crowded and we have people waiting outside. We don't have a website or do any social media stuff. Most people find us because they are walking to the temple and they see our board. We’ve been here for years, and our family helps out with the daily work. It’s hard work, especially in the heat, but it’s what we do. We just want to provide a place where people can eat a decent meal without spending too much money. It’s a humble setup, but it works for us and the people who visit this holy town. We take pride in just being here every day.
