Maitri Restaurant

We are located on New Jewargi Road in the Jewargi Colony area of Gulbarga. It’s a pretty standard street, not too far from the main parts of town. Our restaurant is just a simple place where people can come in and sit down for a bit. We don't have any of that high-end decor you see in the big cities like Bangalore. It’s mostly just wooden tables and chairs that have been around for many years. The morning starts with us getting the stoves going and prepping the vegetables. It’s a lot of chopping and stirring before we even open the doors to the public. The road outside gets quite dusty, so we are always wiping things down and trying to keep the place clean. We don't have a huge staff, just enough to get the job done. Most of our customers are locals from the colony or people traveling through on the road. They aren't looking for anything fancy, just a decent, honest meal. We talk to the regulars about the weather or how things are going in the neighborhood. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere here. We don't rush anyone to finish and leave. Sometimes we run out of certain items towards the end of the day, but that’s just how it is when you cook everything fresh. We aren't trying to impress anyone, just keeping a small business going here in Gulbarga. It’s hard work, but we are used to it.
