We’ve been running Lahoti Cement And Metal House for a while now. If you head down Sedam Road and look right across from Basweshwar Hospital, you’ll see our gates. It’s a busy spot, mostly filled with bags of cement and various metal bits. We spend most of our mornings unloading trucks and making sure everything is stacked right so it doesn't get ruined by rain. It gets pretty dusty out here, but that’s just part of the job when you’re dealing with building materials. People usually drop by because they’re fixing up a house or starting a small project nearby. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just us and the supplies. My hands are usually covered in grey dust by noon, but we get the orders filled. Some days are slower than others, but we stay busy enough keeping track of what’s in the yard. We know the neighbors pretty well since we’ve been here so long. Most of the guys working here have been around for years. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in town, just a spot where you can get what you need without a lot of fuss. It's a straightforward business, really. You need cement, we have it. You need metal rods, we have those too. We just keep our heads down and do the work every day. I usually end up checking the inventory twice just to be sure.
