A C C Cement Wadi Works

A C C Cement Wadi Works is located right near the Sadiqeen Masjid in Wadi. It is a bit of a drive out here in the Gulbarga district of Karnataka, but this is where all the work happens. Being near the Wadi Junction makes it a lot easier for transport, though the local roads can be a bit rough after the heavy rains. The site is pretty large and there is white dust everywhere, which is normal for a place dealing with cement all day. We have a lot of people and trucks coming and going throughout the day. The sun gets really hot in this part of Karnataka, so we usually start our shift very early to get the bulk of the work done before the heat peaks. We have our own rhythm here. Some of the staff live nearby, so they just walk or ride their bikes to the gates every morning. It is a big part of the local landscape. You can see the tall structures from quite a distance away. We handle a lot of the heavy loading and unloading. It is tiring work, but we have a good group of guys who do not mind the sweat. We do not really have a fancy office; it is mostly just functional space for the paperwork. We keep track of everything in big ledgers. The mosque nearby is a good landmark for people trying to find us.
