Alma Mater- The School

You can find us over in Maniram. It’s a straightforward place, and that’s how we like to run the school too. We called it Alma Mater because it felt right, but we don't put on any airs about the name. The school is just a regular building with classrooms and a place for the kids to hang out during their lunch hour. We aren't located in the middle of a big, loud city, so it’s a bit more peaceful here in Maniram. The daily routine is pretty much the same every week. The kids show up, we do the lessons, they have a break, and then they go home. We focus on the core subjects like math, science, and languages. We don't have a lot of extra stuff that distracts from the learning process. The furniture is simple, and the walls are covered with things the students have done in class over the term. Our staff is small but we all know each other well. We don't have a corporate office or a marketing team to handle things. If you want to know about us, you just come by and talk to someone at the front desk. We try to keep the fees reasonable so that families in the area can send their children here without too much trouble. It’s a practical school for practical people. We just want to do a good job for the kids in Maniram and help them get a solid start in life.
