Balawadi Agro Producer Company Limited

Balawadi Agro is run out of Maruti Pawar’s house, number 830. We are right in the middle of Balawadi, and everyone knows where Maruti lives. It’s a small operation, just a group of local guys who decided to start a producer company. We spend a lot of time on the porch or in the front room talking about the harvest. There’s always a pile of bags or some tools sitting around. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is. Farming is a tough business, and doing the paperwork side of it is even tougher for some of us. We help each other out with the forms and the registration stuff. Sometimes we have to drive into town to get things signed, which takes all day. But mostly we stay here and look after the crops. The village is quiet most of the time, except when the trucks are coming in to load up. We don't have a big staff, just the members who all pitch in when they have time. It’s a bit like a club, but with more work involved. We take things as they come. If the crop is good, we are happy. If it’s bad, we just figure out what to do next. It’s how it’s always been here, and we just keep it moving one day at a time.
