Our company is Khutar Kisan Vikas Farmer Producer Company Limited and we are based in Itauwa village, Lalpur. This is in the Powayan area of Shahjahanpur. Chandrika Prasad handles a lot of the work from his house. We are a group of local farmers who have spent our whole lives working in the dirt. Farming in Shahjahanpur isn't easy, especially with how the weather changes so much. We decided to start this company because we were tired of doing everything separately and getting the short end of the stick. By working together, we can talk to buyers as a group and maybe get a better deal for our hard work. We don't have any high-tech machines or big budgets. We just have our knowledge of the land and our willingness to work. Our meetings are simple and we mostly just talk about the things that matter to us, like the price of fertilizer or which crops are growing best this year. It’s not a very polished business and we don't try to make it sound like it is. We are just honest people from Itauwa and the nearby areas who want to make a living. We don't have any big corporate dreams. We just want to be able to pay our bills and keep our farms going for the next generation. It’s basic work and we are just trying to do it together.
