Sita Ram Dhaba

This is Sita Ram Dhaba. We are located at shop number five in the Surya Nagar area of Ghaziabad. If you know the Central Market, we are right there, basically opposite the Surya Nagar police chowki. Having the police station right across the road makes the area feel a bit different, I suppose. It’s a busy little market and there are always people walking around looking for things. Our shop is small and we’ve been here for a while. We mostly handle the local crowd that comes through the market during the day. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the lunch hours because everyone seems to come at once. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us doing the cooking and cleaning up the tables. The fans run all day to keep the air moving because it gets quite stuffy in the market during the summer months. We keep things simple with the menu and don't try to do anything too complicated. It’s just standard food for people who are hungry and want something quick. We spend a lot of time preping vegetables in the back. Sometimes the market gets so crowded you can barely walk on the sidewalk outside. Being in Central Market means there is always noise from the shops nearby. We just keep the doors open and let the day go by. It’s a basic place for a basic meal, nothing more to it.
