Bangla Restaurant

If you find yourself in Navyug Market, you will see us at number 62. The market is always a bit chaotic with people moving around and cars trying to find a place to park. It is just the way 201001 is during the daytime. Bangla Restaurant has been here for a good bit now. We open up the shutters every morning and sweep the front step. It gets dusty fast because of all the traffic nearby. The kitchen starts up and the smell drifts out toward the street. We have some old wooden tables that have seen better days but they do the job. Some days it is very quiet and other days we barely have enough room for everyone to sit. We do not spend a lot of time thinking about decorations or anything like that. The walls are a plain color and we have a few lights hanging from the ceiling. We just focus on keeping the place running. People from around the market come in when they need a break from their own shops. It feels like a small community here even though the city is so big. Sometimes the power goes out for a minute and we just wait it out. That is just life in this neighborhood. We are just a local spot for local people. It is simple and we like it that way. We keep a bucket near the door for umbrellas when it rains. The floor gets a bit muddy then but we just mop it up later.
