Sethi S Pick & Carry

Our shop is over in Nehru Nagar at Shop Number 3k/133 which is right across from the Nelkhant Apartment building. Ghaziabad can be a pretty hectic place to live and work but we have carved out our own little corner here. Most of our day involves watching people come in to grab what they need and head back out again to their busy lives. We are close to the main parts of Nehru Nagar so there is always someone walking by or parking their bike outside. The shop is filled with various things people might need and we try to keep it organized though it gets messy when we are busy. We do not have a lot of room for people to hang around so it is mostly a quick in and out kind of situation. The morning starts with us checking the stock and moving boxes around. It is practical work and it keeps us on our feet for most of the shift. We see a lot of the residents from the apartments nearby and we have gotten to know their routines over time. There is no big sign or flashing lights just a plain shop where we do our business every day. It feels good to be part of the neighborhood and help people get through their daily errands. We just keep our heads down and work until it is time to close up.
