Modern Steel Traders

We've been running Modern Steel Traders out of No-326 in Loha Mandi for quite some time now. The name sounds a bit more high-tech than the actual place is. It’s really just a solid warehouse with a lot of steel stacked up. We deal with all sorts of lengths and weights. The district gets busy, so getting trucks in and out of our spot can be tricky sometimes. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. It’s just us and a few helpers. We spend most of the day checking orders and making sure the counts are right. Steel is heavy, so we don't like moving it twice if we can help it. The office is small and usually covered in dust from the yard. We have an old fan that makes a clicking noise, but it keeps us cool enough. People drop by, ask for a price, and we give it to them. No hidden fees or strange talk. It’s just the price of the steel that day. We try to be helpful if someone isn't sure what they need. It’s a basic business. We don't have any awards on the wall, just some calendars from years ago. My nephew helps with the heavy lifting on weekends. It's a family thing, more or less. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. It’s not glamorous, but it keeps the lights on and the family fed.
