The yard is at Plot No A 7/86 on the South Side. We are right in the middle of the Ispat Nagar area, which means everything is covered in a bit of industrial soot. G.T. Road is just right there, and the sound of the heavy trucks is something you just get used to after a week. Bulandshahr Road is always a mess with traffic, but it brings people our way. We deal with whatever comes in on the lorries. The warehouse is a big metal structure, and it gets really hot in the summer months. We keep a few fans going, but they mostly just move the warm air around. There’s no fancy lobby or anything like that. Just a counter and some chairs that have been here since we opened. We spend our days checking the weight of the loads and getting the paperwork sorted. It’s a lot of manual labor, and we’re usually tired by the time four o’clock rolls around. The neighbors are all in similar businesses, so we help each other out if a crane breaks down or someone needs a hand. It’s not the prettiest part of town, but it’s where the work gets done. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily tasks as they come.
