Kris Kreations

R-Z/75 in Rajnagar is where we do all our work. It’s not a very big space at Kris Kreations, so we have to be careful where we step so we don’t trip over the materials. We started out just doing small bits and pieces, but now we have a lot more going on. There’s a constant sound of machines running in the background which makes it hard to talk sometimes. We usually have the radio playing some old songs to keep us going through the afternoon slump. Most of our days are spent checking how the stuff looks and making sure the colors are right under the lights. It’s a lot of manual work and our hands are usually pretty tired by the time five o'clock rolls around. We’ve got a small kettle in the corner for making coffee because we need it to stay awake during the long shifts. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so we try not to make too much noise late at night, but sometimes we have to stay late to finish a big batch. It’s just a small team of us here, mostly family and a few neighbors who’ve been with us since the start. We don't have any fancy brochures or anything like that. We just show people what we’ve made and that seems to be enough for most of them. We just work hard and keep at it.
