Hem Raj & Sons

We’ve been here at 398, 399, and 400 in Loha Madi for quite some time now. It’s a busy spot in R.N. Market, and honestly, the noise never really stops around here. My father started this thing under the name Hem Raj & Sons, and we just kept it going. We handle a lot of metal stuff because that’s what this area is for. People come by looking for specific pieces, and we try to find what they need in the stacks. It gets dusty, and sometimes the paperwork is a bit of a mess, but we know where everything is. You learn a lot about people just standing around the shop all day. We aren't fancy. There’s no big office or anything like that, just the shop floor and the inventory. Some days are slower than others, but we usually have something to do. The neighbors around R.N. Market are good people, and we all kind of look out for each other. If you’re walking through Loha Madi, you’ll see our shutters open early in the morning. We don't have a big website or a lot of staff, just a few of us making sure things move along. It's hard work, but it’s what we know. We deal with whatever comes through the gate. Most of the folks who come here have been doing business with us for years. It’s just how things work in this part of town.
