Kisan Inter College

Down in Korma, which is in the Gaya district of Bihar, you will find Kisan Inter College. Our pincode is 823003. It is a very rural spot, so things move a bit slower around here. The college is a basic brick building. It has been standing for a long time and has seen many seasons. We don't have air conditioning or fancy labs, just the essentials. Most of us who work here grew up in this area. We know the families and the local stories. My morning starts with unlocking the main doors and checking if the classrooms are ready. There is always some dust to wipe off because of the dry roads nearby. It’s a noisy place once the day gets going, with voices echoing across the courtyard. We don't use any complicated marketing words to describe ourselves. We are just a local inter college. We help with the admissions and keep track of who is coming and going. It can be a bit disorganized at times, especially when the rains come and the roads get muddy. But we are used to it. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the crops or the local market during our downtime. It’s a very grounded life here in Gaya. We are just people from the community working for the community. Nothing more and nothing less. It is a steady, simple existence at the college and we are fine with that.
