Gd Goenka Public School

Our school is situated in Gaya, specifically on the Gaya Gumati Line Road in K P Colony. It’s right there at 823002. Being near the Gumati Line means we are close to the railway tracks, so you occasionally hear the trains passing by in the distance. Gaya is a very old city, but this school building is a bit more on the modern side compared to the surrounding houses. We have a big gate and a front area where the students gather. The classrooms are set up with desks and benches, and we have enough space for the kids to move around. It gets very hot here in Bihar during the summer, so we have to manage with the fans and keep the kids indoors as much as possible. The teachers here focus a lot on the daily curriculum. We have our own way of doing things, and it’s mostly about sticking to the schedule. Parents in the colony often walk their kids to the gate, and there’s a lot of chatter during those times. We have a small playground, though it’s mostly used for quick games during the break. The office is usually a bit messy with files and folders everywhere, but we know where everything is. It’s just a regular, working school. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just provide a place for the kids to come and learn every single day. The morning starts early here before the sun gets too high.
