We set up shop in Maredian View Plaza, right in the Alpha 1 commercial belt of Greater Noida. It’s on the ground floor, unit GF-17. Being near Kotak Mahindra Bank helps people find us, as that corner is always busy. The commercial belt is a noisy place, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We started Desi Galli because we lived nearby and there wasn't much around at the time. It’s just a small space really. We have a few staff members who handle the front and the kitchen. Nothing is very fancy. The tiles are a bit old and the chairs are just basic. We don't spend money on big signs or posters. Mostly, people from the nearby offices come in for a quick bite during their lunch break. Sometimes students from the local colleges show up too. It’s a mix of everyone. Noida can be a bit cold in the winters, so we try to keep the place warm for whoever walks in. We don't have a big story to tell. It’s just a shop in a plaza. We open up in the morning and close late. That’s about it for our daily routine. We've been here for a good while now and know most of the other shop owners around Alpha 1. Sometimes the parking in the plaza is a nightmare, so we see a lot of frustrated people coming in just to take a breather. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
