We are based in Khajuha, Fatehpur, specifically over at Badi Bazar. Our company is called Samvet Natural Framing Producer Company Limited. We work out of Pratap Narain Shukla’s place. The whole idea here is to stick to more natural ways of doing things on the farm. We have a lot of conversations about the soil and how to keep it healthy without using too many chemicals. It’s a bit slower this way, and it takes more effort, but we think it’s the right way to go for the long run. The group is made up of local farmers who are tired of the old way of doing things. We meet up in the bazaar area quite often to talk about our progress. It’s a busy place with people coming and going, so there is always some news to hear. Pratap Narain Shukla keeps things organized for us. We spend time looking at different natural methods and seeing what works best in the Fatehpur climate. It’s not always easy, and sometimes the yields aren't what we hoped for, but we learn as we go. We don't have a big marketing budget or a shiny website. We just have our fields and our hands. It’s a very grounded way to work. People around here know us for being serious about the natural side of farming. We just want to keep the land good for the next generation while making a decent living today. It's about being responsible and staying honest.
