Bindkiseeds Farmer Producer Companylimited is located in the town of Bindki in Fatehpur. Specifically, we are at 1019 Gata, near the Maini Kua. If you ask anyone near the old well, they can probably point you toward Shiv Shankar Verma’s place. We deal with seeds and all the things that go along with getting a crop started. Bindki is a busy town, but our focus is always back on the villages and the fields. We started this producer company because we were tired of getting bad seeds or paying too much for them. Now, we try to source things ourselves as a group. The office isn't anything special—just a room with some registers and a place to sit. We spend a lot of time talking to the farmers who come in from the surrounding areas of Fatehpur. They tell us what worked last year and what didn't. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. Word travels fast enough around here just by talking to people at the market or by the well. We are just trying to make sure that when someone puts a seed in the ground, they have a decent chance of seeing it grow. It’s a lot of responsibility, but since we are farmers ourselves, we know exactly what is at stake. We just keep our heads down and focus on the basics of seed and soil here in Bindki while helping our neighbors.
