We are located near Ambedkar Park in the Yadav Colony area, right on the Fatehpur Road. Paschimanchal Farmer Producer Company Limited is basically just a few of us working out of Vinod Kumar’s place. It’s a convenient spot because the road is right there, which helps when we have to move things in and out. Being near the park means it’s a bit of a landmark for people trying to find us. We spend a lot of time on our feet, out in the fields or checking on what the other farmers are doing. It’s not the kind of job where you sit at a desk all day. We deal with the realities of farming in this part of the country, which means dealing with the heat and the dust and the unpredictable rain. It’s a lot of work to keep everyone on the same page, but that’s why we started the company. We wanted a way for the local farmers to have a bit more say in how things are sold. It gets a bit noisy near the road sometimes, but we’re used to it by now. We just do our thing, keep the books as straight as we can, and try to make sure everyone gets their fair share at the end of the harvest. It is hard work, but it is ours.
