S. S. M. International

S. S. M. International is located at 417, Sector 46. It is a pretty standard office setup. We handle international trade, which basically means we spend a lot of time on the phone and dealing with heaps of paperwork. Dealing with different time zones can be a bit of a headache. Sometimes we are here late because someone on the other side of the world just woke up. Sector 46 is a decent place to work from. We have got a few desks, some filing cabinets that are way too full, and a printer that jams at the worst times. We are not a huge multinational with thousands of employees. It is just a small group of us trying to make sure shipments go where they are supposed to. We do not have a fancy mission statement or anything. We just try to keep people updated by being honest about what is happening with their orders. Logistics can be a mess sometimes, especially with shipping delays or customs issues. Sector 46 is pretty quiet in the evenings, which is nice when we have to stay late for a call. We keep a stash of snacks in the drawer for those long nights. It is not a glamorous life, but it is our life. We just take it one day at a time. It is not always exciting, but it is what we know. We just keep things simple and practical here.
