East India Overseas

East India Overseas is located in Unit No. 33, within Building No. 7 and 8 at the DLF Industrial Area, Phase-I. It’s a big complex and it can be easy to get lost if you don't know which gate to come in through. We’ve been in this unit for several years. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint and the floor has some scuff marks from moving heavy crates around. We deal with a lot of overseas stuff, so there’s always talk about containers and ports and customs forms. It’s a lot of administrative work mixed with some physical packing. We don't have a big corporate office with a receptionist. Usually, one of us just looks up from our desk when someone walks in. We keep the radio on in the background to drown out the noise from the factory next door. Some days are stressful when a shipment is stuck at the docks, and other days are slow enough that we can actually clean off our desks. We aren't trying to change the world or anything. We just want to make sure our customers get what they ordered without too much trouble. It’s a small operation and we like it that way because we can keep track of everything ourselves without needing a bunch of managers to tell us what to do next.
