Amchi Bakery

Amchi Bakery is a local spot located at B-97 in Bhagat Singh Colony. We are just a short walk from Bohra Public School, which means we see a lot of kids and parents passing by every day. The smell of baking usually lets people know we are open long before they see the door. It’s a modest little shop, nothing like those big franchises you see in malls. We do everything by hand and keep the ovens going from early in the morning. Sometimes the flour gets everywhere, and the floor is always a bit dusty, but that’s just how a real bakery is. We’ve been in Bhagat Singh Colony for quite a while now. Most of our regulars live just a few houses down. We don’t have a marketing department or a website; we just rely on the bread being good and the service being fast. If we run out of something, we just tell folks to come back tomorrow. It’s a very local way of doing things. The staff is just family and a couple of neighbors who help out. We’ve seen the kids from the school grow up over the years. It’s a nice place to be, and we enjoy the daily routine of it all. Nothing fancy, just Amchi Bakery doing what we’ve always done at our little corner near the school. On rainy days, the shop gets even more crowded because people want something warm. We have a couple of stools, but mostly people just stand around and talk.
