Edelweissbakery

Our little spot is in Mayfield Gardens Sec -51, right here in Gurgaon. Edelweissbakery isn't some massive factory; it's just a place where we bake. Some mornings it smells like flour and sugar everywhere, which is nice until you’ve been there for ten hours and just want to go home. We started this because we liked baking, and now it’s just our daily life. The oven has its moods, and sometimes the weather in Haryana makes the dough act funny, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the biggest bakery around or anything. We just put things in the oven and hope people enjoy them. The shop front is simple, nothing too fancy. You’ll see us in our aprons, probably with some flour on our faces if it's a busy Saturday. We don't do much advertising because we're usually too busy with the actual work. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and lifting heavy bags of grain. We've got a small team, just a few of us who’ve been here since the start. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of orders, but we make it work somehow. If you're looking for a corporate experience, this isn't it. We're just people making bread and cakes in a regular neighborhood. It gets hectic around the holidays, but that’s normal for us. We just keep our heads down and keep the timers going. It's just simple baking and trying to stay ahead of the orders.
