Sri Senthilandavar Hollow Blocks

We’ve been here at Pudhukaraipudhur Post for a while now. Our place is right on Gopinethan Main Road, not far from the petrol bunk. It gets pretty busy with traffic going past all day long. We spend most of our time out in the yard with the cement and the heavy machines. Sri Senthilandavar Hollow Blocks isn't a fancy office or anything like that. It’s just a basic work site where we press blocks and wait for them to dry in the hot sun. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere, covering the equipment and even our small tea break area, but that’s just how it goes with this kind of work. People stop by because they see us from the road when they’re filling up their tanks nearby. We mostly just focus on getting the mix right so the blocks don't crumble when they get loaded. It’s heavy work, moving the pallets around and manually loading the trucks when they come in. The sun can be really tough in the afternoons, so we try to start very early in the morning. Our neighbors know us by the steady sound of the machinery running. It isn't a quiet job, but we like being part of the local area here. If you're driving down the main road, you'll see the stacks of finished blocks piled up near the entrance. We just keep doing what we do every day, making sure things are ready for whoever needs them for their walls or houses. It is a long day's work, but we are used to it.
