D R M Bricks

D R M Bricks is based out in Periyakodiveri, along the Tg Road. If you know Gobichettipalayam, you know it’s a place where things move a bit slower. We like it that way. Our yard is right on the main road, so we get a lot of people stopping by just because they saw us while driving. It’s a family-run operation. We spend our days outside, mostly. The soil here is good, and it’s reflected in the bricks we have stacked up. Tg Road can get busy with local buses and tractors, but it’s mostly just the sounds of the countryside. We’ve got a few sheds to keep the equipment dry, but most of the work happens under the open sky. It’s a lot of sweating and hard labor, but seeing a finished stack of bricks is satisfying in its own way. We don’t have any big corporate goals. We just want to keep the yard running and make sure our neighbors have what they need for their houses. The weather plays a big part in our lives; we’re always looking at the clouds. If it’s a nice day, we work late. If it’s raining, we take it easy. We’ve been part of the Periyakodiveri community for a long time, and we plan on staying right here on the Tg Road for many years to come. It is just the way we like to do things.
