Annapoorani Concrete Bricks is located at No. 25, Dassindar Thottam, right off Bhavani Road in Karungalpalayam. It’s a quiet enough spot once you get off the main road. We have a decent-sized yard where we cast and dry our concrete bricks. You can see them all lined up in rows under the sun. It’s a family-run kind of feel here, even if we have a few extra hands to help with the heavy lifting. We started this because we wanted to make good, solid bricks for the local houses being built. Making bricks is repetitive work. You mix the material, fill the molds, vibrate them, and then set them out. But there is a certain satisfaction in seeing a finished stack ready to go. We get a lot of dust on our hands and the sun beats down on us most of the day. We don't have a website or any fancy brochures. Most of our customers are neighbors or people who heard about us from a friend. They pull up their tractors or small trucks, and we help them load the bricks. Sometimes we chat about the weather or how the local construction is going in Karungalpalayam. We’ve been in this spot for years and plan to stay. We aren't trying to change the world; we just want to provide the bricks that people need for their walls and buildings. It’s honest, physical work that keeps us busy from dawn till dusk every single day.
