Smt Flyash Bricks

We spend most of our days here at No. 35/3 Chettithoppu right on the Erode Main Road in Perundurai. Making bricks is what we do, and flyash is the main thing we use. It’s a lot of work out in the yard, especially when the sun is hitting the road hard. People stop by when they’re building something new, maybe a small house or a wall. We don’t have fancy offices or anything like that. It’s just us and the machines and the stacks of bricks waiting to go out. The dust gets everywhere, but that is part of the job. Some days are busier than others when the trucks show up. We try to keep things moving so the piles don’t get too high. Being in Perundurai means we see a lot of local faces coming through. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. It’s a simple setup. You see the sign and the bricks from the main road. We don't spend much time talking about what we do, we just get on with it. Every batch of bricks takes time to get right. If the weather is okay, things go smooth. If it rains, well, that’s another story for the yard. Most of the guys here live nearby so we all know the area well. It's just a regular workplace where we make sure the bricks are ready when someone needs them for their project. That’s about it for us here.
