Sreekrishna Catering

Sreekrishna Catering is run out of Njaruvelil House over in Eroor, Thripunithura. It’s a quiet enough area most days, which is nice when we’re trying to focus on our cooking. We didn't set out to be a big corporate entity; we just liked the idea of providing food for local weddings and functions around here. The house has been the center of everything for years. We’ve got the kitchen set up with some heavy-duty burners and plenty of room for all the big vessels we use. It can get pretty hot in there, especially during the summer months, but we’re used to it by now. Most of our staff have been with us for a long time, so we all know how each other works without having to say much. We don't spend money on big signs or anything like that. People usually find us because they’ve eaten our food at a friend’s house or a community event in Thripunithura. We take pride in just doing the job properly and getting the food delivered on time. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it’s quiet enough to actually get the floors scrubbed properly. We just take it as it comes. It's a lot of lifting and carrying, but seeing a wedding party enjoying a meal makes it worth the effort. We’re just local people cooking for our neighbors.
