Abad Food Court

Being inside Bay Pride Mall right on Marine Drive means we see a lot of different people every day. The food court is always buzzing with the sound of shoppers and tourists coming in from Shanmugham Road. We spend a lot of our day managing the different counters and making sure the seating area isn't too cluttered. It gets really crowded on the weekends when everyone wants to be near the water. You can hear the noise from the mall and the music playing in the background while we work. We aren't a fancy sit-down restaurant where you wait for a long time. It’s more about quick meals for people on the move. We have to keep a close eye on the supplies because things run out fast when the mall is busy. The air conditioning is nice, especially when it’s humid outside in Ernakulam. Most of the staff has been here long enough to handle the rush without getting too stressed out. We don't use any complicated systems, just hard work and keeping an eye on the clock. It’s a bit of a grind, but the view of the water nearby makes it better. We just try to make sure everyone gets their food hot and finds a place to sit. It’s a simple operation in a very busy spot. We just take it one order at a time.
