Our office is located in the Pothen Joseph And Sons Building over on 5th Cross Road. This is part of Willingdon Island, so it is surrounded by the port and lots of shipping activity. At Pameric Exports Inc., we spend our time managing the movement of goods. You can always hear the sounds of cranes and ships nearby. It is a very industrial area, not the kind of place you would go for a stroll. Our space is mostly filled with desks, filing cabinets, and some samples of the stuff we export. We have been here for a good number of years. The building is solid but definitely shows its age. We do not have any polished marketing materials or a big sales department. It is just us doing the practical work of making sure crates get on the right ships. Most of the time we are in our work clothes because the warehouse area can get pretty dusty. The island has a unique feel to it, especially when the weather gets rough. We just focus on the logistics and the paperwork that comes with international trade. It is a lot of back-and-forth with the port authorities. We do not have a fancy reception area for visitors. People who come here usually have business at the docks. We just keep our heads down and make sure the shipments go out on time. It is a steady, quiet way to run a business.
