My Home Foods

Down here at 601 B in Malikampeedika, things are usually moving pretty fast. We’ve been running My Home Foods out of this Alangad area for some time now. Aluva is a nice place to be based, though the rain can really slow things down when the monsoon hits. Our kitchen is where everything happens. It’s not some big industrial plant, just a normal space where we get the cooking done. We use the recipes that we grew up with, the kind of stuff you’d find in any house around here. Some of the neighbors drop by just to say hello while we’re packing things up. It’s mostly just a few of us making sure the flavors are right and the food is fresh. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything, just our hands and the ingredients we buy locally. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected because it's hard to guess how many people will want what we make each day. The Aluva sun can get quite hot in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going and stay focused. We’ve been at this address for a bit now and it feels like home. It's just a regular local business trying to make things people enjoy eating. There isn't much more to it than that. We just show up, do the work, and head home. That's our life at 601 B.
