Gem Foods

You can find Gem Foods at 5/394 on Vazhathiruthy Road, right near the Civil Station. Since we are so close to the Civil Station, there are always people walking back and forth, and the road stays pretty busy throughout the day. Our workspace isn't very large, so we have to stay organized just to have enough room to move around. We handle food products, which means we spend a lot of our time cleaning and making sure everything is put away properly. It’s not a glamorous job. A lot of it is just repetitive tasks like weighing out portions or checking seals on bags. We are a small group, and we usually have the radio playing in the background while we work to keep things from getting too quiet. The building is older, and sometimes the roof leaks a little when the monsoon rains are really heavy, so we have to be careful where we stack things. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. If someone wants to talk to us, they usually just walk in the front door. We like being in this part of town because everything we need is close by. It’s a practical location for a practical business. We just do our daily chores and make sure the orders are ready on time for whoever needs them. That is our routine.
