Axis Cam Mechanics

Our workshop is located in the Elcare House building on Chittor Road, right in the Ayyappankavu area of Cochin. It’s a very busy part of town with a lot of shops and traffic. We do mechanical work, focusing on cams and other precision parts for machinery. The shop isn't very big, so we’ve had to be careful about where we put the lathes and the milling machines. It’s a bit dark inside because the building doesn't have many windows, so we have to keep the big lights on all day. The floor has oil stains all over it, which is just part of the job when you’re working with engines. We don't have a secretary or anyone to answer the door. If you come by, you might have to wait a second while one of us finishes a cut and wipes the grease off our hands. We’ve been fixing things and making parts for a long time now. We don't have any big corporate mission or anything like that. We just enjoy the challenge of getting a piece of metal to fit exactly where it’s supposed to go. Sometimes we get parts that are old and rusted, and it takes us a lot of time to get them working again. We don't promise to be the fastest shop in Cochin, but we try to be the most honest. We have regular customers who have been coming to us for years because they know we won't overcharge them for simple work.
