Barud Farmer Producer Company Limited is a small group we started right here in our village. Most of us work from the address where Gajanand Govind lives in Barud, 450771. It isn't a fancy office or anything like that, just a place where we meet to talk about our crops and how to sell them together. Being a farmer in this area has its ups and downs with the weather and the prices at the market. We figured it would be better to join up as a company so we have more say in what happens with our harvests. It is mostly local guys from around here who know the soil well. We don't have a big corporate team, just neighbors trying to make a living. Gajanand helps keep the papers in order at his place. When you come by Barud, you’ll see our fields all around. We grow what the land gives us and try to get it to people who need it. Sometimes the rains are good and sometimes they aren't, but we keep going because that’s what we’ve always done. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just a way for Barud farmers to work together. It’s a lot of hard work every day in the sun.
