Khandwa Farmers Producer Company Limited is located right in the middle of the action at Shop No 8 in the Pandit Di Dial Market. It is a busy little spot, especially on market days when everyone from the surrounding villages comes into Khandwa. We chose this shop because it is easy for people to find us when they are already out doing their shopping or selling their own goods. The market can be pretty loud and crowded, but that’s just how Khandwa is. We have a small desk and a couple of chairs, and that’s about it. Most of the time, the shop is full of farmers asking about prices or looking for advice on what to plant next. We aren't experts in everything, but we know enough about the local conditions to help where we can. It gets pretty hot in the shop during the afternoons, so we usually have the fan going full blast. We don't have any big corporate goals; we just want to make sure the farmers who are part of our group get their stuff sold for a decent price. It is a lot of talking and a lot of shaking hands. Sometimes we run out of tea because so many people drop in just to say hello. It’s a good community and we’re glad to be a part of the market here, even if it gets a bit chaotic sometimes when the trucks are loading up all the bags.
