At Rufata Prerana Farmer Producer Company Limited, we do things a bit differently than those big companies in the cities. We’re located at H-30 in Sai Colony, Ward Number 13, over in Pandhana. It’s a regular neighborhood, and our office is just a simple building where we manage our farming business. As a producer company, we’re all about the local farmers coming together. We spend our time figuring out how to get better prices for what we grow and how to share the costs of things like seeds and tools. It’s not always organized perfectly, but we make it work. Pandhana is a place where everyone knows everyone, so we don’t need to do much advertising. People just stop by when they have a question or need to settle some business. We deal with all sorts of agricultural matters, and sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with everyone coming and going. But that’s just how it is when you’re working with people you’ve known your whole life. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We’re just a group of people in Madhya Pradesh trying to make a go of it. There’s a lot of paperwork that comes with being a registered company, and we do our best to keep up with it between the planting and harvesting seasons. It’s a busy life, but it’s honest work and we like being our own bosses here in Sai Colony.
