Shanti Sweets Corner

Shanti Sweets Corner is right in the middle of Patparganj Village. If you know the area, you know how crowded the lanes can get. We’ve been here for a good while. It’s a small corner shop, nothing too fancy. We make our sweets fresh every day. The smells usually travel down the street when we're frying things up in the morning. It gets pretty loud with all the scooters and people talking outside. We don’t have much seating, so most people just stand around or take their stuff home. The village has changed a lot over the years but we’re still here in the same spot. We use the old recipes that have been around forever. Sometimes we run out of things by the afternoon if it's a busy day. It's just part of how we work. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we're usually too busy with the kitchen work. It's a family thing, mostly. We all chip in with the cooking and serving. Patparganj Village is our home, and the shop is just where we spend most of our time. We don't try to be something we're not. We just make sweets and sell them to whoever walks in. It’s a simple life and we’re used to the noise and the crowd around here.
