Om Sweets & Caterer

We are based at Ff-7 on Mangal Bazar Road in Lakshmi Nagar. Our spot is right by the Main Tuesday Market, so you can imagine how crazy it gets here on Tuesdays. It’s almost impossible to move on the street with all the stalls and people looking for bargains. We are also near Maharaja Banquet Hall, which is a big local landmark. We have been here for quite some time, dealing with the sweets and the catering side of things. The shop is on the first floor. It gets very busy, especially during the festivals when everyone wants something sweet for their home. We make most of our stuff in the back area. It’s a lot of stirring large vats of milk and sugar, which makes the whole place smell like cardamom and ghee. The heat in the kitchen can be quite something during July. We are just a regular bunch of people working here. Some of our staff have been with us since we opened. We don’t really go in for fancy displays or big marketing pushes. People just know where we are. Dealing with the Tuesday market crowd is just a part of our weekly routine now. We just open the shutters, get the trays ready, and start the day. It’s a noisy, busy life, but it’s what we know.
