Mohan Lal Halwai/Ram Lal Sweet Shop

Mohan Lal Halwai, also known as Ram Lal Sweet Shop, is located at B-5 in New Govind Pura, East Delhi. We are right near the Chandan Nagar Bus Stand in the Preet Vihar area. Most people around here just call us the local sweet shop. We spend our days making traditional sweets and handling food for people in the neighborhood. It’s a small shop and it can get quite hot with the big vats of milk and sugar going. We aren't trying to be a big chain. We are just a family-run type of place where we know many of the customers by name. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when the bus lets off people nearby, and everyone wants something at the same time. We just keep our heads down and keep working. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. From the early morning prep to closing up at night, there is always something to clean or cook. We don't have a marketing team or a fancy website. We just rely on being here every day. If you’re around Preet Vihar or New Govind Pura, you’ve likely seen us. We’ve been part of this street for a long time, just making sweets and serving the local crowd. It is a simple life and a simple business. We focus on the daily tasks and keeping the display filled up for everyone.
