Nathu Sweets

Our shop is located in Mayur Vihar Phase 1, right in the Pankaj Grand Plaza near the Delhi Police Apartments. It’s a spot many locals know well. Nathu Sweets has been serving this area for quite some time, and it gets really crowded in the evenings when families stop by after work. We have the usual glass counters filled with different types of barfi, laddoos, and those syrupy snacks everyone likes. The kitchen in the back is always going, with the smell of frying dough and sugar syrup drifting out into the plaza. It’s a busy place, especially during festivals when the line goes out the door and we’re all rushing to pack boxes as fast as we can. The seating area isn't huge, but it's enough for a quick bite or some chaat. We don't really do anything flashy; it’s just about making the food and getting it to the people waiting. Sometimes the floor gets a bit sticky when it's packed and the cleaning doesn't happen right away, but we get to it eventually. Being near the police apartments means we see a lot of the same faces every day. We’ve got a routine down, from setting out the fresh trays in the morning to cleaning up the last crumbs at night. It’s a straightforward business, really. We just focus on keeping the bins full and the orders moving. It’s hard work, but seeing people come back with their kids makes it feel like we are part of the community.
