Shan International Export House

We operate out of 173 in the Patparganj Industrial Area. It’s a typical industrial zone with rows of buildings that all look pretty much the same. We handle exports, so there’s always a lot of activity with cardboard boxes and rolls of tape. The office is on one of the upper floors, and the lift is a bit moody, so we often just take the stairs to save time. It’s not a very quiet place because of all the factories and workshops nearby. We have a small team here at Shan International Export House. Most of us have been working in this industrial area for years. We spend a lot of time on the phone with customs agents and shipping companies trying to figure out schedules. Our desks are usually covered in forms and samples of whatever we’re exporting that month. We don’t have a fancy canteen, so we mostly bring lunch from home or grab something from the food vendors downstairs. The parking is always a mess on our street, which is a bit of a pain every morning. We just focus on getting the shipments ready and making sure the paperwork is correct before they go out. It’s basic, honest work. We aren't trying to be fancy or look like a big corporation. We just know how to get goods from here to other countries without too many problems. Sometimes we stay late when a big order needs to go out, but that’s just part of the job.
